Lilla Radván is a Hungary based visual creator who captures her vision through lifestyle & fashion photography and videography. We met her a long time ago, on a pre-university course and we love seeing how her artistic language has evolved—from being an architect, to becoming a mom, and now as a visual creator.

Who or what inspired you to pursue an art career?

I come from a multigenerational family of artists, and I inherited the creative mindset from my family.

Can you share an important moment in your life or career that shaped your artistic or entrepreneurial path?

Before the birth of my sons, I worked as an architect. Everything changed when I received a camera after the birth of my second child.

What challenges have you faced along the way, and how did you overcome them?

The biggest challenge wasn't switching from the drafting table to a camera, but starting all of this with a three-year-old and a newborn by my side.

Balancing business career while being a mum can be challenging. How do you find that balance?

I am fortunate that my work fulfills me while also inspires discipline. Of course, my boys come first, and I try to adjust my work to their needs, which requires a lot of organization. I couldn't manage all of this without the help of my family.

Beyond your creative pursuits, what are your other passions and how do they influence your work?

I spend a lot of time with the kids outdoors gardening, which is always very rejuvenating. In these moments, I feel like we step away from the everyday tasks and together we explore the world.

Are there any women whom you consider role models?

My mom also built a new and successful career while raising small children, and many of my colleagues serve as role models for me in various fields.

What advice do you have for women who are aspiring to make a mark in the art/business world?

Try to pursue a field that truly interests you, something you can love passionately, while also ensuring there is demand for it.

I would really love to visit Copenhagen.

 The Incredibles.

Describe your ideal creative space. What elements make it inspiring for you?

Interior design and aesthetics play an important role in our lives. We continually shape our home to be visually inspiring for us. This is very important to both of us.

Is there something unusual or unexpected that you have in your wardrobe? What is your favorite piece of clothing and why?

I have more vintage clothes than new ones, and I also enjoy incorporating my husband's clothing into my outfits.

Could you describe your clothing style? What do you most like to wear?

Somewhere between minimalist and maximalist. Comfort is important to me, and I enjoy playing with textures. Lately, I've also been getting braver with colors.

Which is your favorite OAT AVA piece?

MOA jumper! I love how versatile it is; it's a real staple that I can rely on at any time, whether at home or at work. I can dress it up with accessories, but it's also perfect on its own when I want to relax at home.
